Natalie showed her excellence from an early age, finishing High School with a number of awards, including the Cultural award for Excellence in the Arts and The Glen Hoppner Entrepreneurial Award.
Shortly after Natalie received a scholarship to attend Bond University, she found her passion for Marketing. Here she was awarded top student in Business Statistics and placed on the Vice-Chancellors List of Academic Excellence.
Natalie has a passion to help businesses grow and marketing gave her a creative way of doing just that. She has truly found her place in Hive Web Studio’s marketing department, assisting the team with idea generation, strategy and content creation.
Entrepreneur Adam Stead has over 10 years of experience in the web development industry; creating websites, custom web applications and a webSMS platform, among a number of other customised online marketing solutions.
Adam has extensive experience in PHP, Java, SilverStripe CMS, MySQL, usability, content architecture, accessibility, ecommerce, Google Webmaster Tools, streamlining business processes, social media, web servers and generally everything else. Not much happens on the internet without Adam knowing about it!
Adam has worked with a range of clients from large Government departments and corporations to SME’s and privately owned companies. However, in Adam’s eyes his greatest achievement is being a valued member and active contributor to the open source community.
As Vice President of the Web Industry Professionals Association (WIPA); Adam is championing tighter regulation of the web development industry to improve the overall quality of work and increase the value of this rapidly growing industry.
Flynn McFarlane gained a passion for business and at an early age, starting his first business in high school at age 17.
Attending Griffith University, Flynn discovered the theories behind already seeded thoughts, completing a Marketing Internship at Coca-Cola Amatil during his studies.
Heavily involved in marketing practice throughout his studies, Flynn was able to apply those skills to his role as Marketing and Promotions Manager of an entertainment company.
In 2011 Flynn founded Gold Coast Marketing Agency Stead Lane.
During the development and growth of his business, Flynn gained further industry experience as part of the Hive Web Studio team.
After several successful collaborative projects Stead Lane and Hive Web Studio agreed to merger negotiations in early 2012.
Having acquired Stead Lane, Hive Web Studio appointed Flynn to the role of Director.
Flourishing in his new dual-role as Director of Hive Web Studio and lead Marketing Consultant of Stead Lane, Flynn continues to help businesses grow and exceed their goals specialising in online marketing integration for small to medium sized business.
Truman comes to us all the way from New Zealand (SilverStripe is from NZ too!) with experience working in world-renowned creative agencies. Truman is a true creative with amazing passion for outstanding design.
Specialising in user experience and user interface web design, Truman is all about providing a rich online experience for users. He will work with you to take your concepts into visual wireframes and designs, bringing your ideas to life.
Truman also has a passion for mobile and responsive design, further enriching the user experience for your customers.
Ben heads up the development team as an experienced web developer with over 6 years of experience from all over the world. He has worked on a number of large scale projects specialising in PHP, MySQL, XML, JQuery and a number of open source platforms (with extensive experience in SilverStripe). Ben also holds a Master of Information Technology and Bachelor of Science with double Honours in Computer Science and Business Administration.
As Hive Web Studio’s Lead Developer, Ben takes charge of key client projects and oversees all project development work. His experience working with larger clients shines through with his process-based strategy, programming expertise and project management.
Daniel has been achieving great things since before he even graduated high school. His web development talents were recognised through a Prime Minister's Award - Business and Innovation Industry in 2006. He then took this to the next level by receiving an award from the ABW Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 National Awards for his multimedia start-up business.
Daniel has over six years of experience in developing websites and programming in PHP, ASP Javascript and Liquid templating. He has worked in various State government departments and has extensive knowledge of large scale intranets and internal networks. Daniel supports our technical team to ensure that all client projects are completed on time whilst exceeding expectations. He has become a SilverStripe CMS guru and will happily take on any development challenge you can throw his way!
Graham has worked in the finance industry for over 40 years in a number of different roles, bringing a lifetime of experience to our team. As our accounts manager Graham liaises with our clients for all accounts matters and works closely with the directors on the operation of the company.
